Fire alarm systems

Fire warning and evacuation management system
The fire warning system performs a function of warning people about danger and may be both the most elementary audible or audio-visual, and more composite voice. A type and a structure of the fire warning system are determined during a design stage of automatic fire alarm and depend on the number of people in a room, its area and altitude.  
Two types of fire warning are used most frequently in practice: audio-visual or voice. In the same way it must be provided the light panels "Exit" by the fire warning system, which indicates escape routes in the smoky space.

Water-based fire suppression system
Water-based fire suppression system is widespread for protection of buildings and facilities because the water used for fire fighting is the most accessible and has good cooling properties. Water-based fire suppression installations are available, quite economical in terms of fire suppression material and safe for health, so they are widely used in high occupancy buildings. However, at the same time, the installations are limited by application scope (for example, it is not allowed to use it for fire suppression at power plants, in server rooms, in areas where chemicals that react violently with water are produced or stored). They also cause significant damage after actuation and only our highly qualified professionals are able to choose equipment, install and further maintain this fire suppression system in the most economical way. In spite of its availability, water-based installations are less sophisticated in design and mounting and are divided into sprinklers and drenchers.

Sprinkler fire suppression system
The sprinkler installations are the systems, which consist of sprinklers (canals), mounted in the pipeline where water or air (depending on a system) is under pressure. The principle of action is based on the pressure drop in the system. If fire the room temperature rises till the moment when the heat-sensitive element in the sprinkler is not destroyed. Depending on the destruction temperature the heat-sensitive components have alcoholic liquid of different colors inside. After destruction of the heat-sensitive element, water or an aqueous solution (foam-forming solution in water) begins to flow outside, the system pressure falls, a water control unit actuates and a pump starts up in the pump station. A pumping unit most often consists of several valves, the gauges and a piping system, and the pumping station is a room are mounted the pumps (main and backup) and a feed water line.

Drencher fire suppression system
In general, the drencher systems looks like the sprinkler systems, but unlike the latter they don’t have a thermal lock, in other words, they always are open. If fire the water flows through all drenchers, covering the entire room, but not just directly above a seat of fire (as in case of the sprinkler ones).

Water mist fire suppression system
The water mist fire suppression systems are a type of installations, where the falling rate of particles distributes through the area of a room and creates a water curtain, but unlike the sprinkler and drencher systems in case of fire the water particles are a few hundred times smaller, which reduces water consumption.
The water mist fire suppression installations are divided into:
• modular installations, used in small rooms;
• centralized (aggregate) installations, used for protection of large areas.

Foam fire suppression system
Foam fire suppression installations are the systems, which use a foam-forming solution in water for fire suppression.

Gaseous fire suppression system
The gaseous fire suppression installations are the systems where fire suppression material is gas, and the basic principle of operation is "dilution" of oxygen in the air to concentrations when it (oxygen) can’t support combustion. They are used for fire suppression of solid substances and flammables, fusible solid substances and materials, flammable liquids, inflammation of gases or electrical equipment (power units energized).

The installations are divided into:
• by the fire suppression method: total flooding, local application
• by the method of keeping a gaseous fire extinguishing substance: centralized, modular;
• by the method of starting a trigger pulse: with the electric, pneumatic, mechanical start-up or their combination.

Aerosol fire suppression system
The installation works based on the acceleration of the redox reactions of combustion, where a main fire-extinguishing property is the fine powder. As a result of the work of such fire suppression system aerosol is formed that has the good fire-extinguishing properties.

Dry chemical fire suppression system
The Dry chemical fire suppression system is a way to extinguish fire, where a main fire-extinguishing property is a dry chemical, composed of mineral salts with various additives and used in the same cases as the gaseous fire suppression system. A simpler identical device of such installation is a standard dry chemical fire-extinguisher.

Automatic fire suppression systems are classified under:
•    the method of displacing gas storage in the modular housing (capacity)
•    pumped, with a gas-generating (pyrotechnic) element
•    with a cylinder of compressed or liquefied gas
according to the method of fire suppression:
•    total flooding fire suppression installations are used, when the entire area is filled by the fire-extinguishing substance in case of fire.
•    surface fire suppression installations are used, when, in case of fire, the powder is sprayed only on the surface of the most probable cause of fire.
•    local fire suppression installations of the area by volume are used, when only a part of the total area of the room is extinguished in case of fire.

Smoke exhaust and air pressure booster system
Smoke exhaust systems are one of the important constituent elements of a fire suppression protection system for a facility and are required, where the high concentrations of smoke as well as the dangerous for health gaseous substances can be produced in case of fire.

This is a special technical system of supply and exhaust ventilation, controlled by automatically or manually, the main task of which is secure environment for the safe evacuation of people in case of fire at the facility. The smoke exhaust systems are one of the most expensive systems, a reasonable structure and the technical characteristics of which require special design and are designated to remove the products of combustion (smoke) in case of fire and to limit their distribution to ensure the evacuation from the rooms of a facility at the initial phase of fire.

In turn, the air pressure booster systems are needed to create a clear air layer on escape routes, in which the air is delivered in airlocks, stair-halls, lift shafts or recreation areas in case of fire.

Fire-fighting water line (fire shutoff hoses)
An internal fire-fighting water line is designed to quench fire mainly at the initial stage of its development. It is installed in residential and public buildings, industrial buildings, store rooms and warehouses. In high-rise buildings the fire-fighting water line is a main source of water supply for fire suppression.

Central control panel (CCP) of fire protection systems
A main function of CCP of fire protection systems is to manage the fire protection systems and to ensure coordination of actions of all services, responsible for the people’s safety and the fire elimination. CCP is located near the main entrance to a building or in a room of the first or ground floor with exit outside and shall have a direct telephone link with the nearest fire station.

Lightning protection system
A lightning protection (thunder protection) system is a mandatory part of any building. Without lightning protection (thunder protection) system the building, people and personal property inside it, are vulnerable to a disaster strike. The lightning protection system is designed to protect from a direct lightning strike to the building and from its secondary after-effects in the form of overvoltage (guidance, resulting in electrical circuits when lightning), thus, ensuring safety of your life and property values.

Pre-explosive gas concentration (gas pollution) control system
A gas pollution control system is used to measure hazardous concentrations of hydrocarbon gases, vapors of hydrocarbon liquids and sulphuretted hydrogen in the air of the working area of industrial enterprises. The system enables to conduct the multipoint monitoring of air of the working area, to transmit signals from gas analyzers over significant distances and to give alarm signals in case the measured gas concentration exceeds the set standards.

Flameproofing of structures

According to the rules of structural mechanics, many new structures, used at present in construction, are subject to being destroyed by fire within a few minutes.
